The US goal is to replace 90% of all plastics with biomaterials by 2043. The message is clear, and their report points to solutions based on waste streams of lignin and hemicellulose to support the transition towards a locally sourced circular bio economy.
Basically, this could be a description of PaperShell’s mission, our materials solutions, our production philosophy and partnerships with suppliers and clients to replace fossil based plastics and other high impact materials. ”Waste and pollution are not mere accidents, but rather the consequences of decisions made at the design stage of a product, where around 80% of environmental impact is determined. By changing our mindset to view waste as a design flaw, and by harnessing new materials and technologies, we can ensure that waste and pollution are not created in the first place.”
